Flying the Concorde procedure using the IF/*wood promotion
I will open the following post with the usual caveat, I don’t know if this is the correct board, so please bear with me.
To my surprise, I was talking to my wife about the current Starwood promotion, and that for around $1,260 one could get a round trip on the Concorde, and she said, “What are you waiting for, let’s do it” Yippee! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif I know some of the details, but correct me if I am wrong Buy 21 magazines subscriptions to Inside Flyer per round trip ticket Wait for *wood points to post Transfer 40,000 points per day, so I can get the 25% bonus, or is it 80,000 per day? Open a Qantas FF account Transfer the points for the 1:2 ratio Send all the magazines to the local library, claim them as a tax deduction, and claim every single person who reads them as a dependent (just kidding http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif ) What is next? How does one go to reserve the flight? Call Qantas customer service? What is usually the window in which one can use the reward? I am relatively new to the redemption portion of miles, usually I just gather them. Thanks. |
There are endless posts on this, just do a little search and you will find all the answers!

I did, I just wanted to make sure that I am following the right procedure.
It's quite a bit of money, but can't afford to pass this opportunity. |
It's really easy:
Just buy 21 subscriptions, the miles will post in a couple of days in your Starwood account, then you can transfer 20000 a day which will magically transform into 50000 Qantas miles (takes about four weeks). Do that two times and your Qantas miles will build up! Then you book your flight through your local Qantas service number. Good luck! |
