Plan for Bus. FLL/PPT w/LAX Stopover-Dec. 2007 - Help
 

I need to be in PPT on Dec. 14, 2007 - I would like to use miles for (2) award tickets - Business (or possible First Class) w/ a stopover in LAX outbound.
(I only need O/W so will 'throw away return).
I have miles saved in AA, DELTA, BA, & UA - and can add to my NW Miles w/my SPG - so I've pretty much a choice -----------
What is you best informed guess as to which airline will be easiest to get seats on ATN? - and for the most 'bang' for the mileage??
I now note that AA will book only 329 days out - so that's pretty limiting.....with BA (can I use AA (Domestic - FLL to LAX) stopover & continue w/ Qantas ( LAX/ PPT) net day??? I can book 355 days out using Qantas so I might have a better chance at those LAX/PPT Bus. Class seats - BUT - at what cost in mileage?
Getting close enough to plan my stragegy so any hints will be very much appreciated!

aa.com has partner and 1 world [i think] award info.... might be a place for you to start....

edit to add....i think there are stickies w/award info at the ft al forums which have award info.

AA miles can be used for flights on Air Tahiti Nui
DL miles can be used for flights on Air France
UA miles can be used for flights on Air New Zealand

All (3) carriers fly LAX-PPT.

No need to transfer miles to NW, though those miles can be used for both Air Tahiti Nui and Air France, since you won't get access to greater availability.

330 days is pretty standard.

Besides, Air Tahiti Nui doesn't even publish schedules farther out than that so it wouldn't matter whose miles you use... schedule not in the CRS, no possibility of booking the flight...

Qantas doesn't fly LAX-PPT and Air Tahiti Nui is not (AFAIK) a BA partner, so your BA miles wouldn't be an option.
