Is it me, or is there an anoying POP-UP..?

We all need to earn a living..(Randy)
But it seems, every time I take a step
back from my writing...to respond in an
intelligent manner..BANG the POP-UP.

Let me say I will give a dollar if
everyone else does to stop this "insanity".

Are we on a PORN site? In the time which
it took me to elequently relay this (my)
request I had to endure 6 (six) POP-UPS!

No offence Randy, we and I have helped
other and you with the Flyer Mag sales...
Give us break...

I have yet to see a pop up ad on FlyerTalk. You may want to try running a program like Ad-Aware http://www.lsfileserv.com/ to make sure you don't have any spyware running on your machine.

Another solution may be to download, install and run Pow!, available at http://www.analogx.com/contents/down...etwork/pow.htm This is a great freeware program that automatically closes registered pop-up/pop-under ads as they initialize.

Running excellent firewall zone alarm pro, no pop ups or ads in general.

FWIW: My laptop is running IE 6 on Win2K and I haven't seen any popups on FT for months. There are a couple of good links posted above, check 'em out!

I reported some pop ups last week, but I thought for a minute or 3 that I was imagining things...

Glad to see I am not going senile !

Roland. I am 99% sure that there has been a program installed on your machine by some rogue website.

I suggest that you hit "CTR-ALT-DEL" then look for programs that you don't know. "End task" them then see what happens.

I'd also search your HDD for any directories that were recently created and evaluate them.

This happened to me a while back and it was a ad delivery system that had been installed by a cr@ppy website.

This posting will not necessarily get FT Management's attention in "MilesBuzz". I will reproduce it in the "Technical" forum for their review.
