Invitational Tier

Are there any airlines that have an invitatinal tier?

I am collating information on 4th Tier's in a FFP.

Any response is highly appreciated.

Thanks.

United has United Global Services, which is somewhat like a 4th tier. I believe that United views it as a separate program however.

Fwiw several hotel chains and rental car companies have 'inviation-only' top tiers as well.

Invite only.

FYI, only the top 1000 at any time and one receives the CEO's mobile phone number as well in case something 'goes wrong'.

Delta Flying Colonel (or "Flying Chicken") hasn't been an invitational tier for well over a decade. I got in on the very tail end of that in the early or mid-1990s. Got a nice wood plaque, good for impressing the easily impressed; an ID card, a couple of luggage tags and a letter. At the time I was mid-level, not even top-level, Medallion, but my travel agent (anyone remember those? That's how long ago it was) liked me and asked them for it. Even then it didn't come with anything tangible: no upgrades, no Crown Room admission, no special phone line, not even any free drink chits (though my TA managed to snag me some of those separately).

I haven't flown Delta in several years, I keep my miles from expiring by pointing an occasional hotel stay in their direction, but my profile still says "Flying Colonel" under "SkyMiles Member" (as in plain, ordinary member) where it would have my elite level if I still had one.
