Win a JetBlue flight
 

I got an email about a JB promotion - if you apply for the JB bus card, you could win a free flight. It says 1 out of 20 will win.

I didn't win, but I got the card, which comes with 25 trueblue points...So I still got something.

That seems pretty skimpy. Most major airline rewards card practically give everyone a free ticket upfront - every one I've picked up in the past 2 years or so has included at least 20,000 miles (typically more than enough for a short-haul ticket, and 80% of a "normal" domestic ticket), plus sometimes upgrade certs, upfront EQM's, and in some cases even a waived annual fee.

What am I missing? Since all of these cards tend to mirror what the competition does, I don't doubt that I'm missing something. But from reading the basics on that link, it looks at first glance like lame card. Even if I were a hardcore Jet Blue flyer, I don't see why I wouldn't just stick with my Starwood Amex.

I run a small business and fly out to one of my clients alot for day trips, which is one reason I got this card...I figure I'll have a free flight in no time.

You mention the Starwood card, what do you like about that one? Is that a personal card, or a business one?

It's a personal card. It yields 1 Starpoint per dollar spent, which I figure is about 3% using conservative estimations. I generally have plenty of uses for free hotel nights, so I monetize the rewards pretty quickly. Much easier for me to call it a "real" cash return than, say, an FF mile card where a mile I earn today might not get monetized for several years.
