ATTN: Calling all GOLDPOINTER'S

I am glad things are working out for those who participated, I did'nt, but I read that those who placed large orders as opposed to multiple, smaller orders are faring worse.

If you are so inclined, please post your total dollars spent and your total miles actually posted. Only list what is POSTED in your FF accts. after conversion. Don't post what you calculate you "should" ultimately get.

Being unfamiliar with the mechanics of the , now revoked, promotion I am trying o get a sense of cents paid per mile. My only motive is curiosity and fascination.

this was the breakdown...

Valuemags: 112.5 FF miles per dollar
Hallmark.com(Gift Certificates): 40 FF miles per dollar

I really don't know if it was worth all of the aggravation everyone seems to be going through.

I'll second that.

well, it was definitely worth it for me, but i can see how it hasn't been for others. here's how i fared:

purchase at valuemagas for $1111 (reduced to ~$900 some after discount). apprarently they 'lost' the transaction and had no record of it. after 30 days i faxed in the screen shots and printouts (with gross amount) and they posted (on the gross amount).

i now have 125,000 miles in my BA Executive Club account. exactly enough for that Concorde trip i've always wanted to take. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

Wow. less than a penny a mile. AND, you did'nt have to fly to get it. Also, while not status miles, you also get the MAGS.

I missed out big time. About $9K bought over 1 million AA miles as well as lifetime GOLD Status.

Which is exactly what I did. Unfortunately I got net points but that is still 3,601,200 GP which should transfer this week for ~920k AA miles. I've got another 27k in the account from way back when and after the first two flights of my RTW will be Plat and should break 1 MM by the time I get home! Lifetime gold, here I come!

Please let us know if they actually DO transfer.
