Reno Air
Western Airlines |
A ton, actually. But I don't feel all that bad about, say, People Express or Western or stuff like that. Nothing against them, I just don't feel bad I missed out.
The ones I wish I'd flown ... Pan Am Braniff (I may have flown them, but been too young to remember. Evidence is spotty, at best.) BOAC (before my time.) Interflug (why not?) [This message has been edited by Tyler Durden (edited 02-15-2002).] |

I can't believe no one has mentioned Pilgrim Airlines!

What about PSA?
They had the smile on the plane. |
Chalks.
Although there is a small remnant left. It's route structure is nothing like the original. |
Legend...never had the chance to try out their service out of Dallas Love Field.

Originally posted by Middle_Seat: I believe that Trans Texas Airways became Southwest Airlines. Nope, terenz was correct. Trans Texas Airlines (often referred to by those that flew them as Tree Top Airlines, with some justification) morphed into Texas International and eventually bought the remnants of Continental in the early '80s, assuming the latter's name in the process. I believe Herb Kelleher started Southwest from scratch as an intrastate Texas airline in the early '70s. |
