What happens if your shoes test positive for residue? Do they confiscate them? Deny you boarding? The incident at SFO last week where the passenger had "bomb making residue" was actually a case of a trace of lawn fertilizer on the bottom of the shoes. Aurthorities said probably picked up by walking across a newly fertilized lawn. If you are in your bare feet and pick that up on your feet, do they take your feet?
