Sept 11 segment fee coming up!
Here is the small print at Orbitz:
For tickets sold on or after 2/1/02, fares displayed do not include a $2.50 USD 'September 11th Security Fee' per flight segment (maximum charge per trip $5.00 USD one-way, $10.00 USD round-trip). A flight segment is defined as one takeoff and one landing. [This message has been edited by emaij (edited 01-22-2002).] |
So now we have to pay for the privilege of taking our shoes off, getting felt up and being humiliated.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but "cute" security people (male or female) are few and far between in my experience. Just getting a nice person is memorable!
Usually I cringe when they start touching me. I feel like taking a shower. Bruce |
Also read today that the $2.50 fee per segment up to max of $10 will be applied to all tickets including award tickets. Thus, for the majority of airlines (I think Southwest hasn't decided to do it yet) there will be no such thing as a free ticket anymore http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gif
