I have used these sorts of credit cards for years but am calling it quits. I have had it with the difficulties of ever usinig the points you accumulate. Instead, I am getting a rebate Visa that pays 1.25% back and, unlike Discover, does so from the first dollar.

If I charge $30,000 in a year, that is $375 CASH no strings attached, as compared to 30,000 or perhaps 35,000 miles that are harder then hell to use.

Hi, i think you might get more response from either the visa/mastercard forum or Amex forum.

Also, i don't think it's that hard to use the miles...there are many things you can do with the miles you earn... e.g. airport club memberships.

So let's see in four years you will get $1,500 back. In four years you will get 120,000 miles that is a First Class ticket anywhere in the world. That is up to $12,000.

I think I will go for the $12,000.
