Any newspaper subscribtions that will get you AAdvantage Miles?
 

Last year I subscribed to WSJ and got 1k AA miles which is pretty nice considering that was the first time i knew that this kind of deal existed. Now, WSJ wants me to renew...but they claimed that they do not have this kind of promotion anymore and in fact, the CSR had no clue about this promotion at all!

Now my question to the mile junkies out there is: are there any other newspaper subscribtions e.g. Dallas Morning News or Star Telegram or USA today even where I can get some AA miles?

Well, it's not AA, but I earned 5K UAL miles last July from an SF Chronicle subscription.

2 months - 500 mile bonus (3k per yr).
6 months - 2000 miles (4k per yr).
1 year - 5k!

I had to wait until my subscription was up for renewal, so this may apply only to current subscribers. In fact, this offer may now be off the table for all I know!

Did you actually like reading the WSJ? Seems like that would drive your decision to renew, not ten or fifteen bucks worth of FF miles...

I do read it when I am at home which is not often. I usually get a copy at the hotel anyway...so
