I misplaced MY ID!!
I can't find my drivers license and I am supposed to fly tomorrow! This is only a domestic flight. Can I use my SSN card and other forms of identification? I have a ticketless flight also.
Has this happened to anyone????? |
Your passport will work, no problem.

I have a social security card. The only thing I have with my photo on it is a Costco card  |
I almost had to go through this last week. You will simply be subjected to the full search normally reserved for SSSS'd people. It will take longer, but you should still be able to fly.

Call the airline, let them know specifically what ID you have, get the name/info from the person who gives the the "OK to fly" (assuming they do). Ask them to note it in your record.
Give yourself lots of extra time at the airport. Good luck, Bruce |
I think you have a problem. A friend recently showed up for checkin but had left her driver's license at home. Eventually, she had to go home and get the license because she would not even be checked in without the "government issued picture id".
Perhaps the state license authority can replace your license tomorrow morning on an emergency basis. But, it better have a picture on it! |
I assume your flight is too early tomorrow for you to get to the DMV to get a new id before leaving (assuming this is the origin of your trip)?
You will be allowed to check in... as long as it is domestic... and you will go through several searches. Also, make sure you have cash for your trip in case some places do not take your credit card... especially if your card requests they check for ID. Make sure you get to the airport extremely early to allow for the extra time it will take... it will take time... and you really are at their mercy. GOOD luck.... WIlliam |

Please post the results of your efforts. It would be useful to know what is really required for a flight. And, maybe this is the time to start getting a passport!

WIlliam I find it ridiculous that I may not even be able to go on my trip?!?!?! I have a SSN card, like 17 other cards with my name, a Costco ID with a pic, and medical and car insurance. Can I hear from anyone who this did happen to? Thanks. Also, what happens if I was already on my trip and lost it? They don't let you go home? |

This really doesn't have anything to do with miles or points, and the suggestion given above to call the airline is probably your best option. I'm going to close this here.
