When do I get my chips, and can I trade them in for miles?

GUILTY AS CHARGED, as dhammer was taken away.

"But your honor..."

Just today, my husband asked me why I spend so much time here. He even insinuated that it is a total waste of time.

However, he has benefited from all the bargains and upgrades I have found over the years.

I wonder if Lex and GG and Punki and Hunki and the Bollars (etc.) know how lucky they are to share this passion?

Sassy! Jan 5, 2002 1:16 am

Yes I'm addicted and Gorden Betume is my enabler! One of the sign of addction is to hide the behavor. I'm started to hide my behavior. Either people don't believe me or are jelous of how little I pay for how much I fly. Being in the high levels of a good FFP is heady stuff as you are almost location independent.
If one flys enough on their client's or corportation's expense to get into even the lowest level of a FFP it generaly is a sign that the person is high functioning.
There are a lot of such folks on FT. They not only give good travel advice but discuss the many and diverse social/political topics that suround the act of travel. The flamers are few. For me it's the above combination that is the draw and my adiction.

I have never (knowingly) experienced a blackout while using FlyerTalk.

Hi, I'm Nate, and I'm a mileage whore :: tears ::

it all started on a flight from St. Louis to Eureka, California, going through Denver, San Diego, and San Francisco when I was 16.........

I'm thinking of opening the Wright Clinic for FF addicts.

I blame them for starting all of this - Oops maybe this is another problem I need to address.

BooBooKitty Jan 5, 2002 6:46 am

My name is BooBooKitty (well, that name isn't on my license or anything), and I'm addicted to Flyertalk...which I check often...and was also seriously bummed when I couldn't log on yesterday...what else am I supposed to do on my lunch hour??

I'm also addicted to mileage runs. Last night, I just booked my 4th run for the year. January run to JAX. February run to SIN. April run to SIN. May run to SIN via HNL. When I see the fare and then figure out the cost per mile, I can't resist hitting the 'purchase' button.

Help me.
