Industry Awards?

So this is my first post, although I've been "lurking" on FT for a while now. I'm wondering what industry awards (besides the Freddies) I should pay attention to when choosing a FF program? I recently took a job that will require me to travel quite a bit, and I want to make sure I pick an airline with a history of recognized success. Ideas?

What is important to them might not be so important to you, and vice versa.

Decide what you want out of a frequent flyer program (free tickets? Upgrades? What?). How much is quite a bit (10,000 butt-in-seat miles/year? 25,000? 50,000? 100,000?). Where are you flying from/to? Do schedules and nonstops matter to you?

Then come back here and post that information, and everyone will be happy to catch you up on the pluses and minuses.

Stock price (especially if the company has been through Chapter 11 bankruptcy recently) gives some indication of the medium-term prospects that a company will still be around when you want to redeem an award. It's also an indication of growth potential, meaning added destinations.
