Earn miles with DirecTV subscription?

I have Dish Network now but am thinking of switching to DirecTV. If there are any tie-ins with airline miles, I'd like to hear about them.

Thanks.

Off the topic a little ... I still have cable (analog) but I am thinking of switching to satellite. Can someone fill me in on which system is better and the pros and cons of each? My curent cable bill is $50 with none of the premium channels (HBO etc).

Thanks!

I know of no current arrangements between DirecTV and any points-earning program. I pay mine monthly with my Visa, so that is something...

DirecTV vs. DISH... you'll get a lot of different answers. I took the two channel lists and identified which channels I would want, and them compared that to the cost. For me, DirecTV was the best choice. My bill is $65/month including Total Choice Plus with local (PHX) channels, an additional receiver and ShowTime (was HBO, but just switched.)

I'll send you a PM with some additional information.

AAdvantage Eshopping formerly offered something like a one time bonus of 1,500 or 2,000 miles for DirecTV... but alas, no more.

If you plan to use a DVR, the DISH system lets you hook two TV's into one DVR, so you can play back in either room from one box.

No airline ties except through affinity credit cards or the like but if you are a National Football League fan then DirecTV is the only one where you can get all the games.
