Insurance On FF Points?
Is there an insurance company that sells insurance to protect our frequent flier miles? Please advise.

Most people on this board probably already know this, but being an idiot, I just learned of this today.
You can use miles to insure loss of them. Everyone probably knows about Award Guard, advertised on this website and mentioned in the above post. However, I learned that milepoint.com offers a discount for 2 year coverage. It's only $107 and 5,350 miles. That's less of a sting than the usual $214 (and no miles). |

If you're trying to protect your miles in a large airline's program (for example, American or United or Delta), you might want to do some math before signing up for an insurance program. |
