DCA Closed...how hypoctirical!
 

First off, I would like to ask your opinion on whether DCA will open, and when.

Second, Id like to ask for your opinion on the fact that the airport remians closed.

The government is saying "Flying is safe, go back to it!", yet its still not safe enough for DCA to open?

And what is it REALLY that scares them about DCA? The fact that its 30 seconds from the capitol and White House IF it does not turn right? Do you honestly think a hijacker can hijack a commercial airline in 30 seconds while it is at an 18 degree angle (running up the aisle will take effort)?

And isnt it odd that the plane they say was headed for the capitol left EWR, and the plane that hit the Pentagon was out of IAD?

Or that all the planes were airborne for over 30 minutes, NOT 30 seconds?

Closing this airport has put many out of a job, and made our government look contradictory in a time where it must stand 100% correct and firm.

Just my 2 cents. Your thoughts?

I don't think the takeoffs from DCA are the problem, I think it is the landing paths. A plane could seem to be on the right flight path, and veer off quickly. But I still think DCA should be reopened, although I think the idea of a sky marshall on all DCA flights might make some sense.

I don't think it should re-open. I think a new airport is in order and should be started outside the city quickly. It is relatively safe to fly, but having a flight path so close to important buildings and people is crazy.

They already have that "new airport outside the city". There's actually two of them -called IAD and BWI. But your poor elected servants don't want to have to take anything more than a 15 minute ride to get to the airport.

And most of those that live or work or travel to and from DCA. The airport works.

And, I know we have very important people in DC, but are their not important people in Chicago, and NY and Philly and San Diego and... well you get it.
