LH solution for stranded SR ticket holders
|
Delta is offering the same, though not publicy...
|
Well, it helps to fill those empty seats ...
EasyJet from the UK are offering GBP20 seats LTN-ZRH and -GVA to stranded SR passengers. BA, having announced the end of LGW-ZRH services, have now increased capacity on LHR-ZRH because of the SR situation. Now what about my SR reservations in December? Confirmed, says the TA. Not valid, says SR - only flights to the end of October seem to be OK because of the Swiss government subsidy. Inter-lining is out. Worst case is I'll make other arrangements and get a refund from the credit card company under the terms of the Consumer Credit Act. |
You know, even given the likelihood that the airlines will not get paid by SR, they're flying with an awful lot of empty seats now - wouldn't you think that for the sake of good will they would honour the SR tickets for free, or at least just the cost of the meal?
I mean, after all - if they have empty seats, and the formerly loyal SR psgrs are gonna have to find a new airline anyway - it seems to make good business sense. |
Most airlines can't do so as most interline agreements with SR have been cancelled.

SK internline agreement with SR was cancelled on the 2nd or 3rd of october.
