I have updated the Netflix entry to include AA - so there are 3 airlines, 2 hotels and a bunch of points & rebates programs (see page for links)

It is definitely possibe but Netflix is terrible about posting the miles!

I second that observation. I signed on at the start, August 04, and it literaly took me a year's worth of calling and e-mailing, and even then I only got 2,000 miles instead of the 3,000 promised. Let's hope they've gotten better with time.

I signed up about June 15th. Got my 2 weeks free, continued in July. Miles posted end July. I'm probably going to cancel tomorrow. Getting bonus miles is very nice, but I'm very irritated with netflix service. This is probably the wrong thread to rant, but please forgive me, I really need to vent somehow!

1) I signed up for 3 dvds plan. It takes 3 days to reach me, I take 1 day to finish and mail it back, then it takes another 3 days for them to receive the DVDs and send new ones. So its 3 per week. Its going to be the same if I signed up for 1 a week plan. This isn't expensive, but I dont like the inefficiency.

2) They have been sending me DVDs from the middle of my queue !! When this happened last week, I was mildly annoyed, because I listed my queue in a certain way (btw all dvds I listed were available, and probably low demand because I watch weird stuff) because I want to watch them that way. But after receiving the 3 DVDs that were numbers 10+ in my queue, I decided perhaps I haven't been updating my queue conscientiously.

So I reordered my queue lovingly.

This week they are sending me 2 DVDs numbered 20+ in my queue, and DVD #1 also. This doesn't make sense at all.

3) So I decided to make a formal complaint. This is when I realise Netflix customer support is not easy to find! They have no email addresses listed, nor phone number. They do have FAQ, and if you happen to have a problem that's listed there, you probably will be able to find a quick solution.

So...here it is. I'm going to cancel tomorrow. But 4000 miles was relatively painless.

I have contacted NetFlix 3x and United 1x. Each blames the other. I have finally faxed my MP Visa bill showing the NetFlix charge on their as well as the statement from the NetFlix site. Hard to believe I have spent all this time and energy for 4k miles...but now I am in too deep and those miles better get posted soon! :mad:

I got my 4,000 miles 3 weeks into my membership (including the 2 weeks for the promo). Did you guys sign up using the correct link and pay using your United MP credit card?

You mean you had to sign up thru the website link and use your MP Visa? No wonder I did not get the miles....I thought I could just call and ask for the miles.

thanks, i signed up for the free trial with the united miles. does anyone know if it would work if i used my united debit card, i dont have a united credit card?

I signed up after viewing 'AndrewCX's wonderful table/chart. Got 2 weeks free and 2K UA MP miles....all posted rather quickly, btw I charge my membership to my NWA Visa so thats just a bonus!

Finally got my miles....5 months after I signed up.

The price for the standard 3 unlimited dvds/month is $17.99 under deals like these. Usually it is $14.99.

You need to determine if it worht the extra $3! :cool:

charge went through late oct, miles posted today, easy 4k miles for 18 + tax. going to cancel once the month is up.

can you sign up for the bonus more than once?

The T&C I looked at indicated the miles were only for new customers only. Signed up anyway.

I did. Once with my name and address, cancelled, then again with my moms name and address. It really was for her so I don't feel I'm cheating. My MP# both times. Got 4k miles X 2.

AA Surprise
 

I signed up for Netflix via AA for 1500 miles, then later was disappointed when I saw the UA sign-up for 2000. However, yesterday I received 3K miles in my AA account for Netflix. Haven't a clue why I got more, but I do love AA. ^
As a recent MP member (since AA doesn't fly the route I'm frequenting now), I've had nothing but problems getting UA miles to post. AA always comes through for me on the postings and then some. ;)

I signed up in May using the UA credit card,
supposed to get 2000 plus 2000 MP miles.

The first 2000 came through OK,
but now after 6 months, 4 follow-up emails,
and a follow up letter, still haven't got the other 2000.

Netflix product is great, but poor customer service of this promotion made it hardly worth the effort, for me.

I got my 4k after less than 4 weeks; no problems here. Except that I started to love netflix and will keep it - expensive 4k!

I get 18 miles each month for paying on my united visa ;)

The rates for Netflix are:

2 DVDs at a time (4 per month ) $11.99

2 DVDs at a time (unlimited ) $14.99

3 DVDs at a time (unlimited ) $17.99

So it is not just an extra $3, it is 2 vs 3 DVDs!

I responded to the UA promotion and received 2,000 miles. They posted within three weeks. After reading a post in this thread I am going to try to sign up again to get 4,000 miles... thank!

Signed up for Netflix at the end of October, got the 4,000 miles posted today.
