One ways for 50% miles

British Airways allow you to book most BA Miles awards one-way for half the return miles.

Are there any other FF programs that allow this. (I would be keen to rack up a few miles in one and use them for 'emergencies' such as when BA can't do me a BA Miles flight on the required day)

I believe that Southwest also permits this. Confirmation anyone?

Southwest, Yes. And currently, as long as there is even one available seat under their booking allocation, it's yours on an award ticket for the asking, even if it is the last seat on the plane! This policy holds true on each and every flight. Too bad the other carriers don't have a similar policy!!!

Hopefully when and if Southwest enforces capacity controls, they will extend the current one year expiration of their Rapid Rewards Award Tickets.

The Fine Print has always given them the option to impliment capacity controls, but in the true Southwest spirit, "A Symbol of Freedom," they have chosen not to. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

KLM award flights are all available o/w for 50%.
If you fly regularly from Edinburgh, I find KLM usually better than BA, IMHO, and most often cheaper.

Hawaiian Airlines allows one way award travel, only 15,000 from the islands to any of their west coast destinations. South Pacific one ways are also permitted.

I don't think that the BA Executive Club program for US allows one way awards.

Northwest does not allow one way awards (since it got rid of the FlyWrites several years ago). But it allows a different mileage computation for each way - e.g. coach in one direction and first class in another.
