help transferring miles from other airlines/hotels etc. to United

Hello all,

I would really appreciate it if you could provide some information (or direct me to that info) on how to transfer miles from one airline to another (e.g. one way I know is trough Hilton)

I have gotten very close to getting 2 first class tickets to Europe on United. I would like to take my family (3 people) on a trip to Europe.

I have ff miles/points on almost all the US and Canadian airlines/hotels. I also have Amex rewards and diners club points. I am looking for a good place that provides info on tranferring those miles/points into United Mileage Plus miles.

Thanks.

You will lose a gazillion points trying to wash other airline points through Hilton. Transfer Starwood 1 for 1 - good deal. Also Membership Rewards with Amex. Unfortunately, the best deals are airline points to hotel, not the other way around.

Among the options you have mentioned, Starwood (as mentioned above) and Diners Club are the best. You can transfer your existing Diners Club reward points to United, typically $1000 charged to Diners is equivalent to 1000 UA miles.

Also you can use Diners Club to transfer AA and DL miles to UA but you get a 50% penalty.
