Swapping miles for award travel

Hi

I've about 19k miles on AsiaMiles program, 11k on United MileagePlus and 7k on AAdvantage. I need 25K for roundtrip travel within US. Could someone recommend a way to swap/consolidate these miles under one program? I registered with points.com to see their swap, but it results in heavy loss of miles.

Thanks

Nice post. Not everyone is adept at using the search feature. How do you know the OP didn't already try that?

To the OP: There are others here that are more experienced than I, but I think you'll find it hard (impossible) to consolidate your miles without taking a heavy hit.

Do you have time to earn enough miles through other means? Credit card sign-up bonuses, I-Dine (or whatever they call it now), cc purchases, etc.
I don't know about the other programs but with AA you can get reduced fare tickets with 15K miles. Maybe that's an option for you? Only 8K to go. :)

Good luck.

This is good advice. AA and citibank often have 10K miles or more bonuses for getting their credit card, with the annual fee waived the first year. You can get a personal one and a business one so 20K free miles. This will take you a couple months, as you have to get the card, use it, and wait for that billing cycle to post.

Other airlines have similar deals, but the annual fee is not usually waived, although you can get big bonuses for maybe $50- $75, not a bad deal at all.
