Perhaps this promo has been raised before, and if so, apolgies for mentioning it again, but it kinda LOOKS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE if you follow my drift. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

Whats the real deal? Anyone know?

I didn't get time to comb through the page you linked, but this sounds an AWFUL lot like those ebay "scams" (my opinion) where you get FREE AIRLINE TICKETS ANYWHERIEN THE WORLD! for like 10$ you get a voucher, then you pay another 30$ to "register" the voucher w/ a travel agent that the seller has you required to use, then you have to buy hotel nights at some horribly inflated rates (often double or triple the normal rack rate).

This is what it looks like to me, but read that "fine print" terms & conditions box at the bottom VERY CAREFULLY.

If it sounds too good to be true, it usually is!

I believe there are two deals here, first is the membership in the travel club, which is only free for the first 30 days, and then in the second paragraph:

Also included will be information on the participating resorts, minimum night stay requirement and the published rates of these hotels (depending on where you stay, rack rates range from only $119 for standard accommodations to $345 for luxurious accommodations.)

This appears to be one of those get free tickets only if you stary at one of our places at our very inflated rates for the time we say deals. Note too you can not use the free hotels with the free airfare trip.

I would believe that by the time you were done you be able to get a hotel and airfare for less then you would have to pay for the hotel to get the free airfare.

I didn't look at the link, but if it's like all these other wonderful offers, you have to pay for a number of nights of hotel rooms at some super-inflated room rate. And then there's probably limitations on when you can fly, with capacity controls in place. There might be some sort of membership fee you have to pay. Something like that.

I can't even look at the link since my company has blocked this site ... this should also give a clue as to whether or not it is legitimate. Of course they block other legitimate sites such as language translators and my own site, but not sites such as expedia, orbitz, continental.com and so on which makes me somewhat suspicious.

Paraphrased from something I read in Reader's Digest years ago:

Many years ago a ship sank, laden with gold bars and other treasure. I happen to know which ocean it sank in. If you send me $__ then I will tell you the name of the ocean.

My father in law once got the call that he won $100,000 and all he had ot od to get it was provide a credit card number so they could charge him the $250 processing fee. They hung up when he told them it would be easier for him if they just took it off the top and sent a check for $99,750.

It's amazing that all these scams are around because they work.

SkyMiler, run as fast as you can in the opposite direction of the offer.

You'll be glad you did.
