Airport

Does anyone know of an easier way to get to Chesterton, IN? I looked on Travelocity and a trip from VA took 5 or 6 connections. What's the closest airport?

Didn't Travelocity used to have a 'find the nearest airport' feature? I'm not seeing any more.

Try travelbyus.com. You get the option of selecting airports within X miles, you fill in the X. Start at 50 miles and go out. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

Try Continental from Richmond (RIC) to Cleveland (CLE), connecting to Chicago-Midway. The trip is less than 4 hours from first takeoff to final landing.

Or try Northwest from Richmond to Detroit, changing for Chicago-Midway, also under 4 hours start to finish.

Gary's airport (GYY) is closer, but I don't know who serves it, if anyone.

For the sake of your driving sanity, it may be better to go through South Bend (SBN) than MDW.

US offers a connection through PIT that gets to SBN from RIC in a little over 2 hours.

Would it have been that difficult to list the airport in question in the subject line?

Sort of like my Mother that emails me everyday with the subject line of MOM!

tigertiger Jul 10, 2001 10:22 pm

LOL, at leat you get a subject. I've got an email box full of (no subject) from my mom. Same thing, I guess.

You, know, I'm always so impressed at the time folk here take to help someone out. It's really nice to see.

Cordelli, I'm from Norwalk, originally. Have you lived there long?

cordelli Jul 10, 2001 10:29 pm

Grew up in Wolcott (just outside Waterbury) went to school in Worcester, worked in that area for a while, and moved back down here in 85, Stamford for a few years, then Norwalk for at least 9 or 10 now.
