Miles for calling cards for UK residents?

The opportunities to earn BA, VS and KL miles/points with a calling card have disappeared as the programmes have come to an end.

Other than the MCI offer (which does not appear to be a good deal), are there any cards available to UK users which offer miles?

Thanks.

British Midland still have a deal with World Telecom, although they have been taken over and I've had no credit for several months.

(They do promise it will all happen this month)

Thanks, Markie.

I guess the World Telecom deal is similar to the one with Virgin Flying Club. I just sent in a retroactive claim for missing Virgin miles owed to me by WTC, and Virgin said no. As WTC had gone belly-up, the agreement was at an end.

As BT and BA fell out of bed as well as KLM and KPN(?), I'm looking for a substitute but am not very hopeful. I don't think the MCI offer is very good - I can do better elsewhere without miles.

Roger: Try Lufthansa's 'New Calling Card'.

From this issue 3/2001 of Lufthansa's 'Exclusive' magazine for elites:

Lufthansa Miles & More has (sic) issued a new Calling Card, in co-operation with the telecommunications company Viag Interkon and AT&T, which will replace the old Calling Card for Lufthansa Miles & More members.

Of special interest for Miles & More members residing abroad: Yo ucan use the new Calling Card now - and by doing so, earn miles! Great advantages - now for every euro spent with the Calling Card, five Lufthansa award miles will be credited.

The new Lufthansa Calling Card offers more benefits and services in an extended geographical area. From almost anywhere in the world, you can now telephone using your calling card at reasonable rates.

Roger,

I did hear that Ornage were offering some form of reward points. I have no idea whether they are standard FF type or their own, but maybe worth an enquiry.

Thanks, Skips

I believe Orange are offering Air Miles for certain new purchases of phones + contracts. I am already an Orange customer (using the Virgin Mobile tariff with the Orange Value Promise), and would welcome the opportunity of earning miles.

They do have their own points scheme offering various 'gifts', and I have had Odeon cinema tickets from them in exchange for points.
