Why are some threads bold?
 

I must be missing an obvious pattern, but why are a small number of the top few threads in each forum bold? I first thought it meant I hadn't read them yet, but many that I never read are not bold. Can someone explain the obvious to me?

It has to do with "new" threads. Even if you don't read them when you come back they will not be bold unless a new post has been added.

Since this isn't about miles and points, I'm going to close the thread.
