converting USAir miles to UA
I would like to convert some USAir mile to UA. Does any one know of a way to do this without losing a lot of points. One way I have thought of is to run the miles through a hotel or c.c. program. Thanks for your ideas in advance...

w/o losing a large percentage of miles in the conversion through a hotel chain the only way to get Dividend miles to your Mileage Plus account is to pray that the merger goes through. Sorry.

No need to apologize, cf. We'd all love to float around our orphaned points to maximize benefits; but if ya can't, ya can't! <shrug> http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif
BTW, welcome to FT whietdog! Trust me, if you stick around long enough you'll figger out a way to use your US miles optimally. {Editted fur spellung} http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif [This message has been edited by essxjay (edited 05-27-2001).] |

Whitedog: I don't know UA award you are after, but have you looked to see if AA/oneworld offers a similar award/destination? Your USAir miles could become AA miles - 1 to 1 - if you are redeeming an eligible award.
The arrangement between US and AA ends in August. Rumor has it that UA and US will eventually form some sort of FF partnership, even if the merger doesn't get through. |
