This is a new thread since the other one is getting so LONG. Why does everyone feel the need to say "email coming to add me to the list"? What is the point?

And, for those that think posting a notice will work, please read the following from the first posting:

By the way, I am not either of the original authors. And, to those with duplicate posts, please, please do not resubmit a posting just because it does not seem to show up. It is there. It just might now show right now either due to problems with the FT server, or your browser cache.

No kidding... Notice how so many of these people who jump on the "You've got mail! Please add me!" bandwagon are very new FT members and with very few posts? Do these people seriously think that this is sufficient grounds to meet Goldlust's stated criteria of being a known FTer and trustworthy?

Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying that just because one is new here that it means that one is not trustworthy - it's just that new FTers have yet to establish themselves in this community. And given that being a "known FlyerTalker" is one of the criterion for membership on The List, it just seems to me that this is going to become an unmanageable problem for Goldlust. Does bumping your post count by one and saying "me too" make you become a "known FTer"? How does he decide who is "worthy"?

I for one wouldn't have read the thread until I noticed it kept getting bigger and bigger, so I benefited from everybody posting they just sent an e-mail.
