Largest Number Of Award Seats on SAME flight!
I just snagged NINE award seats on the same flights CLE-ORD-GRB RT (which are all RJs) using partner mileage (QF miles on AA metal) on a high demand route (Packer home game weekend).
To QF's credit, their program also hunted me down TWO First Class and THREE Business Class award seats on the same BA flights JFK-LHR-LGW-DAR (Dar Es Salaam) during the peak of safari season a couple of years back. And, I have no status with QF!!! I once got 5 J award seats IAD-YVR-SYD RT on the same AC flights using AC miles, but AC allows no capacity controls for its top-tier member accounts, so not really a fair comparison, I suppose! Anyone else been able to 'supersize' their award redemptions?? |

I see 9s in award availability buckets on UA all the time, including in C on int'l routes. I've also seen 7s on AS metal, note that that's at least 7 F award seats (maybe more) in a cabin of 12.
I've personally never needed to snag more than 4 on the same flight though. I seem to recall MileageAddict grabbing 4 F seats on the same roundtrip flights on QF once? |
I always wondered what the max was. I've got 7 NW coach BOS-MSP. Normally do 4 at a time without a problem.

Back-of-the envelope calcs show that the QF points for the flights above are 700,000+, right? Spend 'em if you got 'em! Got 4 seats for this weekend on NW, MCI-MSP-PHX / PHX-MEM-MCI, on the "fly 3 get one free" promotion. Harder to use than miles, or so everyone says. Glad to get them. |

so 9 tix x 20K= 180K Right, but I was adding in the BA trips you mentioned from QF stock, too. Sorry to be unclear. |
I felt fortunate to snag 8 award tickets to Hawaii a year ago.
