Anyone heard of "Preferred Traveler" program?
I got some spam the other day advertising 2 free tickets or 2 free hotel nights if you sign up for their ($96/year) program of discounts. Of course, the first 30 days is free and you can cancel and keep the tickets, so I thought it sounded like a good deal -- get the 2 free tickets, then cancel.
I just thought I'd see if anyone else had any experience with this outfit before I give them a credit card number. :-) The link to the offer was: http://www.teamnova.com/encore/index.cfm?siteid=of1pr and the email was from '[email protected]'. I'm not affiliated in any way with this offer; just trying to find out if anyone else is, and if it's reputable. ;-) |
holland, read the fine print about the "free" trip. Below is an alarming exerpt:
Receive round-trip airline tickets from select departures to a choice of one of the specific destinations listed within the vacation brochure that you will receive with your 2 FREE airline ticket voucher, provided the hotel accommodations are purchased through Vacation Ventures, Inc. (VVI) for the minimum number of consecutive nights stated. Please allow 4-6 weeks delivery time. Free airline tickets are provided through Vacation Ventures, Inc. Vacation Ventures, Inc. is registered with the state of FL as a seller of travel, registration no. 10077. Some restrictions may apply. You need to wait 4-6 weeks for the voucher to arrive, but have only a 30 day window to cancel membership. ------------------ He who dies with the most miles ... is dead. |
