Official Frequent Flyer Guidebook

I don't remember seeing this mentioned. $14.95 and 250 clickmiles. Anybody find anything interesting in it that isn't discussed on the boards anyway?

My recommendation is: buy it (not necessarily every year, but from time to time).

Reasons: you support our FlyerTalk host and you have a lot of information at hand without having to be online and/or doing searches.

There are many reasons why I like Rudi and with his comment above regarding the Guidebook, I think I've just found another reason - which makes reason #56.

I just ordered the book and was emailed a password to access the online version while I wait for my hard copy.

Cool!

Thanks Randy!

Best regards,

I would recommend the guide as well.

I bought a copy last year and have constantly referred to it for information.

Just got my copy too. Rudi's comment about Support Flyertalk and having a centralized source for travel info did it for me. Yeah, as much as we go online daily, to have a pocketbk in my carryon def. the way to go!!

Again, thanks, Randy!

Has the Guidebook been updated to reflect any changes made to the programs for this year or does it still contain the program information as the programs were at the end of December?

UAL Traveler Apr 5, 2001 9:42 am

Just ordered my copy, and accessed the website. Found useful info already http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif FWIW, I was not aware of the guide, and even after taking a quick look at this thread, would not have ordered it were it not for Rudi's thoughtful and sincere recommendation. Thank you.

The online version of the OFFG is updated as we receive information. Information on the newest program, from Baymont Inns, is coming soon, but general updates are usually posted within a day of us receiving them.

This is another reason I love Flyertalk. I did not know about this product!!! I am happy to support Randy and his efforts and this is a valuable way to do it.

My only question... This guide does not fall apart like the luggage tag, does it? I am down to my last tag... and refuse to reorder them unless they improve. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

Thanks Rudi, just place my order & would not have known about it without your suggestion.

I live in the UK, is it still worth purchasing the book, I visit the USA about 3 times a year.

fscher Apr 5, 2001 5:20 pm

Too many times I see people being told they should have used the search area to see if a particular item was discussed in the past. If I had found it and not questioned it, some people would not have known about it to search in the first place! Sometimes it is good to bring an old topic back to the start for a fresh outlook.........and I have noticed MANY more new members recently.

fscher: I think pg did a good thing (second post of this thread) .

He invested some time to find appropiate links, then really posted the corresponding links and at the same time said/explained (for new users) that there is a search function that did it for him.

What more can you ask for?
