Hi all

I was just thinking - wouldn't it be great if Google gave a point or points for every search you did. ie. they ran a points scheme like ebayanything points

I reckon I'd be a millionaire by now. :)

why dont you raise your idea with google... they probably know all about it already and figured they'd be loosing out in the end..

This sounds more like an Omni topic...

The main problem, is that people would abuse it a lot. A 'bot could do millions of searches, without a real person behind them. Google gets income from advertisers clicked in the link, so they would lose advertisers since the corresponding purchases would fall dramatically compared to click throughs.

Maybe if they made it like 1 point for each time you visit an advertised link, but 100,000 points for a $5 cheque.

But even then, as below, robots would ruin it for all of us

I really dont see what this has to do with the "latest frequent flyer program buzz" so I'm going to close this here.
