New Airline Mileage Program!!!
Forget about American and United with their fancy, shmansy first class travel awards. Here's a program with some real bite to it!
http://www.airinuit.com/rewards.htm (WOW! Kuujjuaq to Puvirnituq gets you 8,260 points!!!) http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif ------------------ Addicted to airline miles? Check out: The Airline Mileage Workshop |
The 'bite must be FROST BITE? BRRRR!
|
All the other US states have little sayings that represent them. Hawaii is the Aloha State, california is the Sunshine State. What is Alasaka's? The it's so cold I can't feel my feet State? Or Eye losht havle of ma tonge wehen eye lickad ah meatal phole State.
Those could work... |
Alaska's motto is "The Last Frontier". However, this little Inuit carrier is in the northern reaches of Canada (with flights down to Montreal), not Alaska.

(The Village Idiot stands in the corner with his little dunce cap on... again)
And when did they start spelling Alasaka with only 2 A's? I like the old way of spelling it better. I'm sticking with it... (mental note, buy a dictionary... Come to think of it, why is the word dictionary in the dictionary?) [This message has been edited by Village Idiot (edited 04-20-2001).] |
Shouldn't this be posted in the Air Inuit Forum? http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

I am from the "Alasaka." Just to let you know, we really do live in Igloos! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif [This message has been edited by Shara (edited 04-21-2001).] [This message has been edited by Shara (edited 04-21-2001).] |

That would mean that for a mere $16,520 worth of other travel you get that free trip--and that's still expensive even if it is CAN $ and not US $. :-) |
Talk about a captive audience, that might have something to do with the steep reward structure. Now, I wonder if we can get a nice philisophical discussion going on their cutting back on linens, chocolates and hot towels?

...and California is the Golden State. Or the "We can't keep our lights on" State.
So is Inuit Air subject to Quebec's draconian French laws? ("Merci avoir choisi Inuit Air vol 245, Kuujjuaraapik-Kangiksualujjuag"). Looks like they operate out of the Inuit towns in Quebec around Hudson Bay and the Labrador Sea. <brrrrrr....> [This message has been edited by ORD_UA1K (edited 04-23-2001).] |
