You inspired me - I finally made a collection run at all the local grocery stores, deaprtment stores (KMart etc). I have 15 Crispix boxes at 1.88, and 40 Nutrigrain twists at 1.59; I have contacted the local food bank, and my living room is full of cereal. With the doubling coupon and tax dedcution, I am calculating .58 cents per mile, and I have 11,000 miles potentially.
Now all I have to do is cut those !@#$ certs out and fill them in! |
I've already emailed my comments to CerealGirl so count me in on the long list of WOW fans. I've had to drop my goal of winning the million-mile Healthy Choice sweepstakes to 'get real' with this cereal thing. Very, well designed idea. Just another reason why i hang out on this board.

And little doubt you also probably paid using an AAdvantage CC or other mileage earning CC too, no? Even if it was only another 60 miles for the minimal $60 purchase! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif Way to go! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif |
free101girl,
I am curious as to where you got the coupons for the 210 boxes of 'Bran cereal? That's quite a few coupons (~105). I bought out a couple of the Vons' in Orange County, CA when the All Bran cereal went for 1.66 per box, but I didn't have ANY coupons then. Cost me around $125 for 7500 miles (soon to be doubled). |

As I said in my original post, I got the coupons from the trade boards at Mycoupons.com - there are numerous traders there who get multiples of the Sunday newspaper coupon inserts (often by dumpster diving) and trade them. |
chexfan loves discussion about cereal. I really love discussion about cereal and miles!
