Miles for Bus. Cl to Aus ? Creative ways??
 

I have a substantial amount of miles with BA and N.W. Besides the old standard of Qantas ..any creative way to get to Sydney (Bus. Cl.) with about 100,000 miles per ticket (need 2) only need to fly one way International, which airlines and/or partners could I attempt to use? With all the partner situations available it would seem easy enough to do -but looks like Qantas has the best times, routes etc. tied up. (I haven't enough miles on United/NewZealand for Business Cl. tickets - possibly would pay me to purchase coach? and upgrade with miles? )
I noticed that America West will start flying into Sydney from HNL, would that be a posability using (partner) BA miles?
Northwest miles seem almost useless for this routing.... (In fact - almost useless for any FF ticketing lately!!!)
Thanks for any "creative" thoughts for me...this is for April of 2006 so I have time to plan.
Too bad that SPG has such a bad transfer rate to United or I could add to my United accounts to use the United miles....but NOT at 1/2 rates !)

Not exactly. HP's partner HA will be flying to SYD.

BTW, there are dozens of threads in the NW forum on how to get to Australia on MH, CO and new partner KE.
