Using Points for Hotel Spa treatment

My wife and her sister are going for a Vegas weekend and want to go to the spa. They will be staying at the LV Hilton, but could go to any spa. Do you know if there are any programs where I can turn in points for spa treatments? I have plenty of Marriott, Priority Club, Hilton, AA, or UA points. I did see that I could turn in 40k HHonor points for $100 in chips which then could be used for the spa, but I think that is a really poor use of the points!

You can convert 20,000 UA or AA miles into 25,000 Starpoints. Many hotels have a menu of services, and the equivalent cost in points.

I know SPG has 2 properties in LAS.

Sorry, it's the other way around. Didn't mean to alarm you. It's 20k *points into 25k UA/AA miles.

You can use Marriott points for Spa certificates, but unfortunately none of the LV Marriotts participate.

You can also use Marriott points to purchase Marriott Cheques: for example, 180,000 Marriott points for $1000 in cheques. Like the Hilton example, not good value, but an option if you have a gazillion Marriott points!!!

Is this true? If so we can get free points as 20K starpoints can be converted to 25K airline miles!!!!!

I don't think you can use *Wood points for spa services. I stayed in Aladdin last time, and asked the Customer Service. They said no. Maybe this has changed? You may want to call them first before converting.

You can buy SpaWish gift cert using miles points (like MyPoints). And see if you can find a LV spa that takes SpaWish cert.

Darn it. That would have been the find of the century. People would lose their jobs because they would spend all day transferring miles/points from UA to *wood and back to UA and then back to *wood.....

At participating SPG hotels & resorts, you can cash in SPG points using Instant Awards for a variety of different services such as spa treatments etc. Depending on the resort, YMMV.
