PayPal (Affinity Card Earning Opportunity)

I am kind of surprised that the reaction to the 'PayPal.com' link in this forum from 'mewantmiles' wasn't more enthusiastic.

I think the PayPal.com site is a great opportunity to use your VISA or MasterCard affinity cards to earn miles on things you normally wouldn't.

I love the fact that I can e-mail somebody the cash I owe them and earn miles for it on my credit card.

And the fact you can refer up to 100 people and earn $10 for the person signing up as well as the person referring you.

I think everybody should consider signing up-- the charges on your card are listed as 'merchant transactions'.

If you sign up-- consider using 'mewantmiles' as a referral or myself if you think I have been helpful. Here is what they send you:

PayPal.com is a completely free service that lets users Beam Money to anyone with an email address. Use PayPal.com to settle restaurant tabs with colleagues, pay friends for movie tickets, or buy a baseball card at an online auction - all with the click of a mouse! PayPal charges the money to an existing credit card or bank account. It's faster, safer and easier than mailing a personal check.

Signing up is quick, easy and you can download the money to your bank account at any time.

As soon as you sign up and register your credit card, PayPal.com will automatically send you $10! Click on this link to sign up
and see for yourself:

https://secure.paypal.com/refer/[email protected]

REFER YOUR FRIENDS AND EARN UP TO $1,000

After you sign up, you'll get an email like this to send to friends and family, and PayPal.com will give you $10 for each friend or family member (up to 100) that signs up and registers a credit card. It's that easy!

Does PayPal use credit cards, or bank debit features of your MasterCard/Visa?

The site seems a little vague about this.

Any experiences worth sharing?

PayPal is nice but near as nice as when it started about 18 months ago.

For personal accounts, of which most of us are, there are tight limits as to how much you can send out or receive each calendar month. What used to be unlimited is now tightly controlled. For instance, I think the limit that one can receive monthly is $100.00.

I'll be the first to say it, since there is a referral link on the post, shouldn't this be in SPAM?
