Do we know any conversions applicable to LH besides their own credit card?

All miles count towards AA lifetime status.

I want more specific information on how a $5000 donation becomes 600,000 miles.

Olafman, this promo expired. for a few weeks last year you could donate to the World Wildlife Fund and earn 40 clickmiles/$, also, Clickrewards had another promo going for signing up with CR, that you would get triple miles, so those became 120 miles/$ (unfortunately I didnt missed the triple promo &**(& &*)&*( &*(&*^%%!!!) and only got 40/$, which I was and am still happy with...

so that $5,000 X 40/$ X 3 = 600,000 Clickrewards.

Note: Clickrewards has since excluded any double/triple promos from the charity program. I think you can still get 20 or 25 miles /$ with a couple charities on clickrewards.

And... I think starwood is a great deal for the clickrewards.

The best deal at the moment for donating to charities @ ClickMiles seem to yield about 13 miles per dollar, once you hit the $1000 donation threshold. Certainly attractive if you were planning to donate to support those particular charities anyway, but nothing like the 40 or even 120 miles per dollar.

I have ordered from Gap and Banana Republic many times through clickrewards. I have also returned things (at the retail stores) that I ordered online. The clickmiles have never been deducted because of the returns. But, aren't BR and Gap offering triple miles? I am NOT encouraging anyone to do this, and I have never done this on purpose myself, but if you were really desperate for miles you could do some binge/purge shopping.
