Selling Miles for Charitable ($$) Donations
I considered posting this in AA's forum but felt that could gain better insight from all types of FT FFs
I am involved in a Non-Profit organization that is considering implementing the American Airlines program which offers AA Advantage Miles for people who donate cash to the charity. Does anyone have experience using AA's particular offer (via the Mitch Stuart Company)? Any recommendations on what a good offer would be for potential donors and the miles they could receive for specific donation amounts? I believe that AA's program (through Mitch Stuart Co) charges $6K and change for every 250K miles purchased. Thanks in advance for creative thoughts and serious insight. |
I have not been able to convince the nonprofits on whose boards I sit to adopt a mileage program but I have been a consistent donor to the NPF, which awards 10 miles per dollar. Here's the details:
https://www.donate.nationalparks.org/Donate/Donate.asp https://www.donate.nationalparks.org...rtner_aa.shtml 10 miles per dollar is a typical reward for nonprofit contributions, although I can understand if board members find it a little "rich." If your board adopts the program, I hope you will alert me (by email or PM) so that I might contribute. :) |
