New Design for 'Air Force One'
Don't know if this has already been posted, but here goes .....
http://i5.yimg.com/5/adab5151/g/3/731680b8.jpg - - - - - - - - Only 1460 Days Until Our Long National Nightmare Is Over (Paraphrase of Gerald Ford, 1974) |
Well that link does not work, Access forbidden from external hosts so we are left to speculate as to WHAT the changes are.
My guess is silver inlaid steer horns mounted each side of the nose cone? ------------------ ~ Glen ~ |
Funny, when I read the header I pictured steer horns too!!!!
|
Don't you mean 1,460 days of glorious bliss?
For many of us, "Our Long National Nightmare" was the Clinton Presidency. So, of course, from my perspective the steer horns are an improvement over the "Dukes of Hazzard"/"Beverly Hillbillies" motif sported by President Bubba. |
Must agree with ORD12 that it is nice to be rid of "Bubba" and get somebody that actually has some integrity in the office.
|
More integrity ( http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/rolleyes.gif ), but less intelligence http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif.

Partisan political bickering will do nothing here except create problems here in FT Land. We will accomplish nothing.
We all hold our political beliefs...Bubba or Dubbya or Algore. E-mail Hannity & Colmes or O'Reilly Factor...FT isn't the place. "Can't we all just get along?" |
Here's a FlyerTalk related comment on Dubya's http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gif coronation:
Pay attention to what happens to the DOJ's oversight of the Airline Industry. See if the DOJ steps in to stop mergers that would lead to anticompetitive behavior and higher prices, worse service, and declining FF programs, as they did with the CO-NW matter. My prediction is that a Gore administration would have been far more interested in such oversight than a Dubya administration. One day, many intelligent people will look back on the 2000 election and regret voting for Dubya. My only hope is that the regret will not be too severe. My fear is that it will be. Of course, that's not true for the majority of voters.... (Edited for spelling) [This message has been edited by BoSoxFan45 (edited 01-22-2001).] |
I'd like to see the blue upswing on the 747 hump eliminated. The blue line would then remain parallel to the ground and the hump white.
However, as long as they don't paint it the old Southwest Airlines brown. The new livery is odd, a bit whimsical, but better. |
Wouldn't be hard to have more political integrity than Mister "I never inhaled" surely? We don't get bombarded with USA political news here, but I did notice with amazement that Billy gave his brother a presidential pardon as he sashayed out the door, as well as someone who did not rat on him re Whitewater, and also agreed he'd lied under Oath to save future lawsuits. Phew. And that's just the last few day's surprises.

A few hours later .. saw this on Dubya. Distorting faces with a mouse click. What next. Laughed a lot! :

I agree with previous posts. Let us keep our political opinions to ourselves and talk the FT talk

I thought the new Air Force One was a crop duster : confused

It looks like Air Force One is going to require a little bit of unanticipated maintenance. According to Fox News last night, Clinton and accompanying staff stripped the aircraft bare during their last flight from Andrews AFB to NY (apparently as souveneirs and as a kind of revenge on Bush). Virtually all soft goods were taken, and some bathroom fixtures, seat components, etc. were detached from the aircraft, as well.
|
For George W. Bush, otherwise known as "DUBYAH", there could only be one word to describe the new plane...
" STRATEGERY " (for those of you who watch Saturday Night Live). I'm sure they are just updating the interior. 1459 days and counting... http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif |
