Apparently new enrollees only http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gif

But thanks anyway! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

To qualify for this offer, you must have a Canadian mailing address. Also, I couldn't find any mention of the 500 free miles even though the sign up form does ask for your AA frequent flyer number.

Maybe I am just needed glasses. If anyone finds mention of the 500 free miles, post it here please.

It looks like that it is for the following:
- New enrollees of CyberTraveler Canada
- Canadian Residents
- Over age of 13

The US web site for Cathay Pacific does not have this offer. http://www.cathay-usa.com

FewMiles Jul 24, 2000 10:24 pm

I clicked on the link and it said "Exclusive AAdvantage Enrollment Bonus" and also "Your CyberTraveler membership already shows a AAdvantage number. To update your
CyberTraveler registration click here to login and update." I clicked and entered my AA FF number (I had indicated that I was an AA member, but hadn't entered my number before). Maybe I'll get the 500 miles. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif
Maybe not. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/tongue.gif Oh well.

more rewards! Because Cathay Pacific has begun an exciting new
partnership with the AAdvantage frequent flyer program.

Now when you fly Cathay Pacific in any class you can earn

rewards within Canada and to more international destinations like
the Caribbean, Mexico, Asia, Europe and the USA.

With a little experimentation, the member_id field is specific to you, that is why every one else is getting the "already on record" message.

Similiarly, with a little modification, I managed to "find" my member_id and tried the link without success. This "offer" is only good if you haven't updated your Cybertraveler Canada profile with your AAdvantage number yet, which also explains why I didn't receive this offer as well.

FewMiles Jul 27, 2000 11:56 pm

Well, I got the same e-mail as mtacchi yesterday after trying the link he posted and entering my AA FF number. So, hsi.chang, you might still see this e-mail offer from CX.

I still haven't received this offer, and I doubt I will as I've already (long ago) entered my AA number into the Canadian CyberTraveller profile. I'll post if I ever do receive this offer.

AA WAS award miles for Y,B and H econ class only and I phoned AA today their rep also said Y,B and H class for AA mileage.

Did anyone know the other (cheaper) classes applies to Canadian residents only?

I will fly HKG-SIN with a package and I am thinking of taking a CX class "W" or QF's class "Q".

Thanks!

YVR Cockroach Jul 31, 2000 10:00 am

I've signed up for Cybertraveller previously and haven't got the offer either.

HK-UMICH

The lower fare grade thing does apply to Canadian residents only. CX had to become more competitive in Canada as they didn't have any FF bonus with CP gone.

Rad456 Jul 31, 2000 4:48 pm

Entered in another 4 digit number and it came up with a box to enter in a AAdvantage number. It also has another user's name on it, so it would appear that it is directed to those people who they sent the emails to..

Just checking to see if anyone has anyone gotten the miles for this? I haven't.

I never recieved my points (and I use the link they sent me, not the one posted here!).
