Battery power “Check-In Chariots” for UA at LHR!
Battery power “Check-In Chariots” for UA at LHR!
Found this in today’s Sydney “Sun Herald”: ”Chariots are about to be introduced at Heathrow. Battery powered check-in units, known as Chariots, will be operated by United Airlines. Booking clerks in the chariots will be able to go anywhere in the airport to issue tickets, boarding passes and baggage tags.” (A few of the male UA check-in staff I’ve encountered recently struck me as a bit “Ben-Her” inclined, so this figures!) ------------------ ~ Glen ~ |
When I first noticed the title of this topic, Battery power “Check-In Chariots”, I originally thought it referred to something that could be used to recharge laptop batteries when a passenger checks in, given the fact that UA'S 777 in-seat power has been disabled for so long. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif
