Thanks for naming me a winner. When will the vouchers for the 1,000,000 miles arrive? ;)

Catman Dec 7, 1998 11:20 am

Thank you Rudi for including a co-judge for the award (even though I did protest.)

But as I said we are ALL WINNERS for Randy and the WebFlyer people bringing us together to help each other and in the process become friends! That's my accepance speech. OH and thanks to my dear cats YAZ and Eddie and my inner circle of friends... Wes and Carole and theresa and Tom and (BUZZ SOUND!)

So JawsII -- you have an Oscar and an EMmy.
For what show and what movie? CATMAN

baobab Dec 7, 1998 11:28 am

Thanks, Rudi & Catman...

Catman - Oscar and Emmy are two of Jaws' good friends. It seems that he likes to hang his friends on the wall, so don't get too close! (Those Texans are dangerous)

After one (not so free anymore)man's thank
you-I'm not so sure there will be any chocolates left for him! But-thank you OMNI
comm. How's that for my 1st post?

Rudi Dec 7, 1998 12:48 pm

raeban (I miss you on the TuTu photo onefreeman emailed me from Maui) - I wonder why everybody here is so sure that the trophy will be chocolates ... wait and see!

Catman Dec 7, 1998 1:21 pm

Excellent post Raeban, and welcome to our world!

This is the first thing I have "Won' since
my big blackjack winnings in Vegas. But this
award (no matter what it is) has more "heart"
and should be more memorable. (The cash went quickly for food bills and Christmas bills and Yaz's birthday gift bills!) CATMAN

Welcome to FlyerTalk, raeban. We have heard a lot about you, & have been waiting for you to appear!

baobab Dec 9, 1998 10:35 am

Thank you Rudi & Catman!!! (It arrived about half an hour ago)

philforest Dec 9, 1998 12:40 pm

Thanks again, both of you. Mine arrived yesterday afternoon.
Phil

Rudi Dec 9, 1998 1:58 pm

philforest - you were the first to get them because my niece in DC organized the distribution.

Rudi Dec 9, 1998 5:03 pm

Due to circumstances out of my controle (as some airlines would say) winners living outside the US will probably get their trophies only just before XMas or even some days after - sorry (I just found out now and can't change/influence this anymore).

baobab Dec 9, 1998 5:08 pm

And the Canadians will probably have to wait 6 weeks to 2 months. It takes less time for items sent to darkest Africa to get there than it does for items sent from a major US city to a major Canadian city. Go figure...

hnechets Dec 9, 1998 5:40 pm

Y'all are doing good, but please keep it up. It will be two more days before I get home for the weekend. Just in case, please don't anybody spoil the surprise.

I just can't believe you're DOING this.

Thanks. folks...
-Harry

Thanks All! Got mine today! Fabulous!

BlondeBomber Dec 10, 1998 12:41 pm

Thanks to the committee--received mine in the mail today. That was blindingly fast for Canada Post--maybe we shouldn't be so hard on the posties? Much appreciated.
