What about USairways?

Lots of talk about AA abosrbing TWA miles

Whats to become of USairways Div miles?
Will Bank of Amrica drop their affinity card?

Do they become United?

If you look on usairways.com or ual.com, there are lots of postings of FAQ's and news releases regarding the proposed merger. Dividend Miles will be come Mileage Plus miles. Preferred members will be granted equivalent status with UAL. As for CP status, it's been a few years since US even offered a challenge program to become CP. It's pretty much fly 100K or 100 segments.

my question is, if one is US DM gold and UA premier, does he get to combine both accounts and become UA pre-ex? when would that happen?

and I still wonder if we will have to get new
UAL BAnkcards???

My guess is that you will be given the higher status of the two initially, but the combined miles or segments may bump you to a higher status later. This will keep all the comped individuals from benefitting.

thanks for the link....

it does make sense to hang on to BOA card
( which become US miles and maybe UA miles)
UNTILL such time as they tell us its toast.

UA card looks easy to get online
I personaly dont want to switch as there
are some conveniences as it is my own personal bank

but lets wait and see what happens

BOA may merge before US does http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif
