Price Spike ?!
 

I was trolling through Travelocity and found a definite upward trend in fares. I checked over 20 destinations (international and to the lower 48) from Anchorage, and most of them had gone up, with a few staying the same. None of them had been reduced.

I know this isn't scientific methodology, but still, its a sad trend. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gif

Eastwest, there's a chap named Scott McMurren who writes a travel column for the Anchorage Daily News. He also issues a discounts-and-deals newsletter on the net -- Alaska Travelgram. His last issue was full of discount fares for flights originating in Anchorage and Fairbanks. I believe his e-mail address is [email protected]. I also believe he is a FlyerTalk member.
