What to do with 10K Qualiflyer 'orphan' miles?
 

I have around 10K Qualiflyer miles left and would like to know if there is anyway I can transfer them to either my UA,DL,or NW accounts. Any ideas?

no transfers possible (not even to HHonors). But for exactly 10'000 Qualiflyer miles you can book ONE night at a Swissôtel (New York: formerly the The Drake, Chicago, Atlanta, Watergate Washington D.C., etc. etc. etc.).

A feel-good alternative: donate them to a charity. Your accountant might even let you take a deduction at 2 cents per mile.

Two one-way upgrades from a paid fare intra Europe on Swissair, Crossair.
Each one way upgrade may consist of a maximum of 2 flight segments, so you could, for instance book a return flight in coach from LHR-MAD via ZRH and use the 10,000 miles to upgrade the whole journey both ways to business. Good deal, until you remember that we're talking about intra-Europe business class.

Domestic companion ticket in France on IW/IJ (AOM/Air Liberte) in Portugal on TP or in Swizerland on SR/CR.

I'm not sure it'd work in Turkey since TK left the Qualiflyer family (but not the program)
