No FF points
Cathay Pacific are offering a very good MEL Europe fare this month with NO ff points. I am sure this has been covered before on this board, but is this always at the airline's discretion. Its the first time I've seen or heard of it. The price is not fantastic, just very competitive (matched by Qantas). What is the point of their refusing FF points?

I'm guessing it'll cost them a little in paying for the mileage. 18,000 or so miles at US$0.01/mile for example may potentially reduce the profit by US$180.
