Another inventive way to get AA Miles
Kelloggs Cereal has been offering a program for several years now where you can earn an UNLIMITED number of AA Miles.
Here's how to do it. 1- Get an AA Advantage account number 2- Buy certain varieties of Kelloggs Cereal (The one's geared toward Adults, sorry NO kids type cereals are part of the program) 3- Save 5 certificates, fill them out and mail them to the address listed on the certificate that you cut out from the back of the box. 4- Your account will be credited 500 points. There is a limit of 50 certificates per envelope mailed in, but you can mail as many as you like. I have been doing it now for about 2 years and have accumulated about 5000 miles. Not bad for eating a healthy breakfast every morning! :D |

Not bad for eating a healthy breakfast every morning! :D Unless the rules have recently changed, you cannot mail in as many as you like. I believe the annual limit is 100K. While that may not affect many normal shoppers, some of us recall the heydey three years ago when we could get unlimited mileage and take aadvantage of the Publix doublers. I collected a tidy 400K that way. Oh how I miss buying pallets of NutriGrain bars from Costco. |
These cereals tend to be pricey $3.00 +++ per box or +3 cents per mile
Unless you could get coupons to save on each box or pick them up real cheap this probably won't be a good deal IMHO But there may be some additional scenarios where this would be more attractive. |
This is INVENTIVE?
This has got to be one of the most well known ways to get AA points. I just did a search of the word Kellogg on got 426 threads.
I don't mean to sound grumpy, but geez. |
I agree with that.
But at big lots, $200 per box. And if you are actually eating the cereal, or buying with a .50cent coupon and taking the tax deduction, it isn't bad. |
My low-carb diet really put a dent in this method. I just can't buy cereal if I'm not eating it....

Sorry, this really isn't "buzz" related.
There's about a zillion posts about this in the AA forum going back about 3 years. I'm going to close this here. Regards, Flipside |
