Can you convert the Hilton points into ff miles?

I am new to this, and I wondered if you can convert partial miles on one airline to another through Hilton? Or can you add, say 10,000 miles to another ff airline account through your Hilton account(if you needed just a little more for a ticket)? The award chart only showed a full ticket amount(like 100,000).I am a little confused about how this works. Thanks

yes you can. You can transfer miles from CO, DL, UA, TW and some others to Hilton at an exchange rate of 1:2, in increments of 5000 miles. e.g., 10000 DL miles will get you 20000 Hilton points. (For AA, the ratio is 1:1).

You can transfer HHonors points to the same set of airlines as follows:
10000 HH > 1500 airline miles
20000 HH > 3500
50000 HH > 10000

(For AA you get 2000, 4000 and 12000 miles, respectively).

As you can see, the transfer rate is pretty bad going from HHonors points back to miles. If you need some, you might look elsewhere for them.

There are reports here that the new AMTRAK scheme might be useful for you as well.
