This is absurd. If I were the pilot I would not have let this happen. A 200lb(or whatever) pig flying around the cabin in turbulance could kill someone. It sounds like some wealthy ... that just wanted to get his or her way. A pig as a service animal? Please! I would've added more but my llama and I are leaving on a cruise tomorrow and I have to pack.

No-one seemingly checks on their 5 cubic yard carry ons. The planes would all leave on time if that happaned! I cannot BELIEVE the junk that is allowed to be carted on board US airplanes. I swear some folks looks like they are moving house.

Of course, this was a "companion" pig. I've never seen a companion dog in first class, but I guess it's possible. I assume you buy a seat for the "companion."
I'm reminded, though, of something that happened several years ago. My (now) wife had gone to New York from DC, and she was returning on the day Allegheny (sp?) became US Air. As I met her at DCA, two hours late, her first comment was "well, Agony Air has just become Useless Air." Our opinions haven't changed.
